Wait until oil hits $200 a barrel which may not be as far away people might think! Then we will get some moaning I am sure, give it 18 months 3 years and that is where I predict where we will be!
Don't really think it will get anywhere near as high as that, as it will drive the world back into recession and it's not in the interests of the oil producers to do that.
Also, it will also cause a greater rush to alternative fuels and once that's happened, there'll be no going back, so the oil producing countries will have even less income.
At around $80 a barrel, the oil producers are making a profit and it also makes the oil exploration more viable and the search for alternate fuels, less of a priority.
Although it may go up above $80, I can't see it rising to anywhere near the heights of last year, as in the end, nobody will benefit!
Yes, I agree, but that would make sense & since when have those that run the world ever made any sense. The answer is 42 I tell you. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
i feel that sadly, the two world wars produced or encouraged a lot of the modern developments we enjoy today. ie...radar.
so will it be we have to go through some dreadful times for progress to happen.
sometimes desperate measures........................
