I had a progressive oil leak on a small VP 2001. Turned out to be the bolt holding the bottom of the dipstick tube.
Must have one time been used to drain oil and not tightened properly, which is not surprising as it needed a ratchet ring spanner to tighten in
tricky inaccessible place. Gradually undone itself so that it was actually loose. Maybe worth running fingers under the engine after a short run?
I use nappies under the engines to absorb any oil/fuel leaks. And have "garage floor" painted the engine space. Do check often though as SWMBO doesn't like the smell under her bunk!
