Oi, BoatScrubber

I have phoned Boatscrubber who were very appologetic, they have been getting e mails direct as well. Apparently they agreed with a 3rd Party (didn't say who) to do an e mail shot on that companies list with the assurance that those people were beeing mailed had agreed to receiving unsolicited e mail.

I am a Boatscrubber customer and they have my e mail but I never subscribed to the internet company others have mentioned and I didn't receive the Spam. I suspect that Boatscrubber are not the main culprit here and it would be a shame if your mail was taken by other forum members in a way that wouldn't be justified.

To be fair, I don't care how the mail came to arrive in my in-box, it did and it was to all intents from a company called boatscrubber with links to their page.

The fact they may have privacy issues with a sister company affects me not one jot, they have sent me an unsolicited e-mail. It is like companies who blame their couriers when goods do not arrive, I do not have a choice of courier, therefore the fault lies with them, my contract was with them.

I am sure BoatScrubber could have come up with a better apology than that!

At the end of the day it was just one mail, but as far as I am aware the machinery is a good 400 miles sailing away from me. A good company will pay for advertising. I hate spam and junk mail with a passion, especially when it is obvious that trust has been broken and MY private information is being banded about.

Well, I'd like to complain about this too. I haven't had any spam from this company and would like to know why not? It's very depressing finding the only spam lists one is on are for 'Grow bigger breasts - naturally' and Cialis and Viagra. As if anyone would find the thought of a middle-aged man with a 46 C cup in a permanent state of excitement in the least attractive.
