If you look just above your username in this thread you'll see a link to 'View first unread' - I think that's what you're looking for!

Dan, that doesn't seem to work if you're using the "hybrid" mode to see who replies to who. Often orphan "new posts" seem to be missed. Or am I not clicking on the right button?

Thank god for that - I was getting repetitive strain syndrome on my index finger....
