Oh rowlocks!

On my PVC dinghy a rowlock is peeling off, can I just glue it with adhesive I would use for a patch?

Is there much advantage in changing to the pin type (the paddles need attention anyway)?

A 2 part adhesive would give a stronger bond. Good preparation is the route to a successful job.

Agree with above, 2 part is best. Best to remove it completely to remove old adhesive before reattaching. Although I followed Polymarine instructions, mine (and other fittings) fell off again within a year in hot sun.

It depends on the material the rowlock is made from. If also pvc it should be fairly straight forward using a PVC adhesive after cleaning and priming with the appropriate solvent cleaner.

However, some fittings are made of a "rubber " type material , in which case the procedure is much more complicated.

Sourcing replacement and cost would be the criteria.
+ How old is the dinghy?
Do the sums then make the decision.
