Oh Joy of Joys.....

Barry,
If you are doing any work on the boat during the week following easter (2nd - 5th April) and need a second pair of hands to speed things up give me a shout.
I have a few days off work then with nothing to do and would be happy to play boat fixing.
Downside (there's always one), you might have to take me out for a little sail once she's back in the water.

My weekend's boat work was disrupted too, but only by a beer festival :D. Put in two solid half-days either side of it, though, a bit of cold weather's no bother with a padded shirt and a decent down jacket.

.....today it was planned that I go to the boat to apply antifoul. I rise from my Silent Night cosseted slumber, open the plantation shutters to find the world wrapped in a coat of snow.
What the hell is happening to this weather. You just shouldn't get snow in Surrey in March. I think I'm going to give up sailing and take up polar exploring!

Of course you should. I've had snow on the decks sailing down to Padstow in Cornwall for May day before now. We're at the latitude of Labrador and no more than 120 miles south of Moscow.

But what are you doing with antifoul? You should be out sailing instead. Decent breeze yesterday.

Bloody English woofters.... a bit of snow and the whole place grinds to a halt

I Was brought up in Scotland and got a shock one year in 1959 when my parents took me to Mallorca, "What is that big shinning thing in the sky I cried as we got off the plane!!!"

Never had summer clothes, lived by the beach and we were lucky to go swimming once a year on the day it was not quite as cold.
