Just got my boat in the water yesterday afternoon. All seemed to be going too well. The yard was ready to drop me in just 30 minutes after I had arrived, great! more time to get everything sorted and doing all the list of jobs I had planned.... however once dropped in the water and backing out of the hoist found the steering seized. Then spent 3 hours trying to free it up before admitting defeat!. Harbour rib dropped me back onto my berth and there I will stay until someone with a bigger hammer and even better dictionary of expletives comes to fix it... which will hopefully be Monday..
Plus side, got a new (marina) neighbour who seems a nice chap!

Boats, don't we just lov'em!

Still blissfully unaware:

James, we saw you yesterday but didn't know it was you at that time. We was on the Searay waiting to leave Hythe on the free flow.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Dave

Hi Dave! Nice to meet someone who is at Hythe and on the forum. I did look jealously at you pulling out of your berth in full control of your boat....

I am sure it will be sorted soon, I will look out for you next time!

James

Ah..what you saw was AFTER the engine stalled when coming out of the berth /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Fuel cut off switch works soo much better when in the 'on' position!

Was only in Hythe for a passing visit as never been there before. Loved it so will definitely be back many times this season!! Will PM you when we do. Cracking bar too /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ah yes, but you do use a lot more full that way...

Hythe is lovely, one of the Solent less know hideaways..
