take up sailing

I would do summat but the port lump's eaten another pair of injectors. That's 8 of the buggers it's gone through. Anyone like to speculate?

I speculate that it's cost effective to sell it and buy a sailboat that has a good second hand resale value.
It will cost you little in fuel and needn't break the bank as far as routine maint' and upkeep are concerned.
You'll also find that it's very relaxing and peaceful and people talk to you in a marina, even strangers.
If you've never tried it, PM me, you'r welcome to come see.
:-)

- Water getting in to the fuel system somehow? (do you see any water in the filters / seperators?)
- Some sort of problem with the high-pressure fuel pump or timing?

dv.

That's what we thought originally. The fuel and water fillers are 6" apart, so we speculated that someone had put the hose in the wrong hole at some point. That would have explained the original 6 injector failures but not the latest 2. No water in the separators, either. We're now wondering if the pump is sick...

I was out for a nice little pootle about at the weekend, but didn't stray as far as Conway. I did get all the rags out for an airing tho' & had a nice sail back to base.

Lots of ribs up & down the Straits, but I haven't seen Major C's spare rib yet tho.

Ah!, but the weekend before last we saw Sea Rush hugging the wall in Caernarfon while we tied up two orange ribs and a Colbalt and ate ice creams purchased from the shop across the expensive car park.

Lovely day out, and I would post pics if I could, but this forum defeats me.

As to Little Ship, I would like to state categorically that I did not tread on Tom's newly varnished rail and I blame one of the other 36 people who dropped by to sample Babs tea.

Incidentally, I still owe you a breakfast as I was meant to pay for yours and Babs on Sunday.

I won't be down for three weeks - Yes, I am going on holiday to Spain - as well as six other hardened boating drinkers - and I am a little bit busy looking for a spare liver to take with me.

Anyway, in a few weeks time I will sipping a G&T from my French windows overlooking Little Ship and all the other ships.
