Oh Dear - but at least it works.

Just had the liferaft serviced, again.

Thus time they did a very good job and packed the raft into a really tight small bundle inside the container.

Packed so tightly that it could move around inside the container -
and when I lifted it out of the car and tilted the container the raft slid inside its box-
and the pin came out of the gas bottle.

If I had not tilted the container it would have inflated on deck when sailing hard and heeled over. Interesting !

Better still - inflating in the back of the car after cornering hard !

Now that I would have loved to have seen, I'd probably need the liferaft and an ambulance!!

The best bit was as it pushed the cars apart - with me stuck in the middle and being stuffed back into the car by the inflating beast !

Now if that had been caught on film....

(The photo came after everything settled down)

Yes . . .

Kirsty's Home Videos would have at least paid you enough to get it repacked.

Are the service agents accepting responsibility?

They knew their error..

When I took it back (deflated !), after warning them off with a phone call,
the manager and the entire packing team were there to greet me.

It took them 5 seconds to examine the raft and realise that they had cocked it up.

For the first time I saw the manager of a Spanish business white faced and grovelling.

They have now either packed it correctly - or filled it with concrete.

A result! Most Bullfighter types hate to lose face, worse than Japanese.
