Howling gale, cloudy and it's trying to rain.
Boats all rocking and ranging around. Nothing dares to move.
Be nice to get back to Blighty for some decent weather and proper boating.?
...and reports down here that you will need to get (and pay for) a visa to get onto the island in 2022 ?

normal service will be resumed tomorrow.....hopefully - as I am flying out.

yes, it will cost all of 7euros and be valid for 3 years..... might have to ease up on the throttle a little to cover that expense. the visa (but they dont call it a visa) will be needed to travel anywhere in the EU.

The local paper is calling it a "Visa " and in my case it's x 7 so 50 euros.?
Locals assure me the weather will be much better tomorrow.

Weather was 38 degrees on Sunday, 33 on Monday but 16 on Wednesday! Nasty storm but as already said normal service is about to be resumed!!

Now it's too hot to do anything. Hiding in the shade with a beer until the sun goes down.
Been wandering around looking at boats on the hard for servicing.
Spotted one with those Anerson? , drives all the rest were shafts.
Not a single IPS anywhere
Not as popular as some would have you believe perhaps.
 
There are a number of Princess, cranchi, Monte Carlo, Prestiege and Sealine’s in Cala D’Or with either IPS or Zeus drives.

Had I known you were in club buying drinks would have flown back.
See that WindGuru is giving gusts of 23 knots from the N/E over the Ramsgite trip
That mite ensure that Broom Broom actually achieves over 15 knots ?

There must be something you could do in all that heat? Ie entertain the locals passing on your knot tying skills to attentive ladies out at sea .

We are having to go slow cos a Princess is coming
 
Yup....Just waiting for the previous owner to pay the VAT on the new boat can then get title and bring the boat, back to civilization in the "Med"way.

When..............depends on how fast Customs and Excise can sort the paperwork.
?
Gave up on trying to buy a UK boat and certainly nothing in Majorca in my price bracket.
Boats advertised in France and Spain proved to have gone ages ago.
Somebody coming to look at the Princess on Saturday.

Its got proper stairs , a bow thruster, a generator, a really posh Nav system to get baffled by,.
Wife hates the colour of the upholstery and among other complaints , it has insufficiant wardrobe space in the front bedroom. .........and even worse has steps down into the saloon. :(
It also has two transom doors which are bound to let in water and the boat is sure to sink.
