Going to take two days looking round and will have my camera with me. Will take lots of pics anyway, but does anyone want anything specific?

Only thing on my list so far is the new Bavaria 46 designed by BMW Designworks USA.

Das boot. Great wartime submarine series from the 80s. Will be interesting to see pics and how busy it is.

Car Boot???? Things must be getting tough out there if the car booters are selling new Bavarias /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

An absolutely must buy is the fish and chips from a mobile van outside between the halls as they were excellent.

But i cant remember between which halls.

PS wear a good comfortable pair of shoes and avoid the halls you have no interest in.

Actually yes! I had planned on going mid week but it looks like I won't be able to go now /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif thanks to a ship in Peru!

As we supply Seatorque systems I would have been going to look at the Marex 390 as it is being fitted with these shaft systems, if you find it, a few pics would be great especially if you can see the shafts.

The manufacturers are often so busy selling they forget to take pictures of products once they are fitted, so I usually end up doing it myself!

Not so much pictures (though good if you can get them) but if you could take a look at the larger Jeanneau's (50ft sports and fly) and take a view on them, that would be good. You know the alternatives from UK manufacturers, I'm jut wondering if the Jeanneau is close enough in style, quality etc to be worth a look, especially the sports.

Ta!

I had a good look at the sport during SIBS 2006 (might have been 2007) and it seemed pretty good. At the time the price was way lower than the competition (probably not so now) but it seemed well put together. Similarly I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the Pretige 38 from last years LIBS. Would give a Targa a good run for its money on the fit and finish stakes. Will take some pics and try to remember to give a good crtique. its one more for the list /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll be there on wednesday and friday
(in the very unlikely event somebody wants to meet with a Belgian)

Jeanneau is good but IMO always a thin line less to the famous 3 UK brands and this shows really only if you are an expert, but none the less it is a very thin line...
but for that thin line then its ultra competitive for a new boat
new 50 Fly launched in Cannes last September starts from 520.000 EUROS, that would be in the same period about 200.000 EU cheaper to Princ 50 Mk.III

now with the current UK£ - EU does not make it so competitive, so is it really worth considering for a British buyer, at the moment I dont think so...

A fair point, they'd always be at a bit of a disadvantage in the UK when you come to resell. You'd need a good reason to go that route I guess, all else being equal. Too new to see any on the used market.

I'd like to second Nautorious' request for the Marex 370.

Also, if you see that funny smallish floating caravan (no foredeck, basically a caravan on a hull), I'd like another look! Don't really know why, but I'm intrigued and haven't been able to google it.

Enjoy the show.
