The amount of time you spend transmitting a marine VHF is so minima compared to mobile phone towers, but I guess we don't want to go there.

I think a written statement in with ships papers citing I usually only transmit at 1 watt is probably enough, don't you?

In view of what yuo have said earlier regarding logging calls showing those transmitted on high power this might confuse them... Moreover for their purposes your 1 watt becomes 1.64 watts EIRP ..

The big problem is that you can catch covid from these rays. And track and trace can then tell what you had for lunch. Its a serious issue, especially poor diet thing.

I looked for the ofcom emf calculator and found the whole document, some 100 plus pages of it. I did come across a part where the rya said it was unrealistic to measure boats as a calibrated tester would run around £2000 plus .

None of it applies to emergency communications, which would seem to put EPIRBs and PLBs out of scope.

If it’s genuinely the case that you never transmit on your VHF except in the event of an emergency, then you don’t need to do anything.

Before I consign my Ofcom letter to the bin - advising me that I have until 18th Nov to do something if I operate at or above 110MHz
Can I just ignore it?
VHF is a standard DSC set as is the handheld
