It's just pointless H&S box-ticking, being carried out by civil servants who don't understand it. And we're paying for it!
I think a written statement in with ships papers citing I usually only transmit at 1 watt is probably enough, don't you?
Hopefully never to be used but how does all this affect my PLB?
I regard my marine VHF as emergency communications.None of it applies to emergency communications, which would seem to put EPIRBs and PLBs out of scope.
