An eventful start to the season.

Having got stuck up at Allington, (Grandsons 10th birthday promised him and few school mates an overnighter) due to flooding and lock mantainance, finally managed to escape on the last knocking of the tide with the help of the lockies on Thursday, depth sounder for most of the journey down was not good viewing.
Was actually booked into St Kats on that day.
Finally leave RCC on Saturday in near perfect conditions.

Sea Reach

Parked next to an impressive Azimut 53 in St Kats. Couple of other RCC club boats in the background.

News of some grim weather on its way and another change of plan.
Out at 06.00 on Tuesday and a run for home.

That Bridge .

The Crew.

Nearly Home.
Mid Swatch Bouy (probably) ?

Thanks for organising Tony, looking forward to future cruises, probably Ramsgate next.
St Kats were most helpful and accommodating in managing to get me in on Saturday.
Did move over to that central pontoon with the fake grass when the Thames Navy departed for Teddington, fine a display of Blue Ensigns .
Rumours of one boat picking up a rope on the way back ?

Lock Chamber 2009.

Lock Chamber 2023.
