Yesterday, facing the prospect of a night in a Travel Inn somewhere, I bought October's PBO, the first I have bought for a few months, and read it.
Today, I open the freshly-delivered YM, and the first thing I see is an article about the Southampton Harbour Patrol. Effectvely the same article I read last night in PBO! (I haven't actually read the YM one: I'm posting in a fit of annoyance!)
This strikes me as either lazy, stupid, or perhaps both. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Re: Perhaps...

Does this mean that we are reaping the benefits of the production teams' summer holidays about 6 weeks ago?
"I've done the page, just drop the pics in when they arrive.....bye!"

Re: Perhaps...

I often wonder what the hell I am I doing subscibing to YM, take away the adverts and there is little in the way of content. I guess that I keep on going out of habit.

Friend has just taken up sailing and all of a sudden I have found a home for all my old copies!

Re: Sunny charter edition

The problem with all special interest magazines is that they have to follow a well trodden route of featuring subjects that their new readers will be interested in but begin to bore the pants off the regular readers.
It's the same with photography magazines. Nothing's really new so it has to be regurgitated every year.
So mags tend to end up being equipment led, with reviews and tests being the real news.
