Reading the article on Brixham and looking at the big photo can see the two new pontoons (well new since I was last there), they look identical.

How come the Harbour Authority charges £8.46 for 9m yet MDL charges £15.75 for what appear to be identical pontoons/services.

Is it a printing error, or are the ratepayers of Brixham being kind to yachties, or are MDL making a fortune???????

well as MDL are infamous for the remark "we will charge 'til the pips squeek") what do you think?

At least on the MDL pontoon you have access to showers, toilets, waste facilities, laundry and friendly, helpful staff. On the Harbour Authority pontoon, all you get is a pontoon - no other facilities at all, not even a toilet. In spite of previous criticisms of MDL, the difference between the prices charged on these two pontoons does have some justification.
