Can anyone give me any guidance on the of the 36cc, good or bad?
The size & layout are exactly what i want, just wondering how they sail?

My friend has one and is very happy. Goes well, but like all modern production yachts does slam a bit in a swell. Lots of space and very comfortable. Go for it...

I had one for a couple of seasons. Great boat but needs a bit of wind to get going, but then very dry when it blows and very stable for the family. A great cruiser.

The 36CC is a good boat but don't forget the 361. Bigger main cabin, better sailer, and with the twin stern cabin version and the fore cabin there is ample room for friends or family. On the other hand if you want to spend more time in bed the 36CC is ideal because of the enormous aft cabin.

Whichever you choose I doubt you wil be disappointed.

Hi. A mixed bag of answers there then! Ours is fine. When I bought her four years ago I sailed her single-handed for a season in the Solent. I had never sailed a boat before so I hired a racing skipper to show me what the boat could do. I hated the sensation of healing over so we put the boat into a forced gybe a couple of times and laid her down once. She popped up like a goodun. Strangely enough we had some fairly rough weather, especially over the winter. Force 7/8, cold, sleet and the steep Solent chop that you get with wind against tide. As it was my first sailing boat I just got used to her. The next season I changed the sails for something stiffer, Maxi-Roach vertically battened Main and Genoa. Transformed the boat. Faster and didn't heal as must although not quite as good in light airs. Fitted a bow thruster for use in the marina - it could get a tad windy in Northney, and a Kiwi-prop added a good knot. I found that the boat would easily round up on a run with all the added weight of kit so it is best to reef the main early and let off the main sheet when the helm gives you the first signs. I also moved the life-raft from the cradle on the push-pit onto the deck over the rear cabin using the pad-eyes provided and have on occasion moved the chain - (20kg Delta, 60m of 10mm on 60m of Octoplat) further back into the boat if going on a long passage in iffy weather. We love the boat, for an AWB,(although ours is blue) and she was exactly what we wanted for our summer live-aboard in the Med in 2006 when we took her through France and along the French coast to Italy. She is still there awaiting our next adventure, hopefully this summer to Corfu. We are considering doing the ARC on her in 2010. Maybe some Forum members might like to comment on that one! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif For the trip through France you can see some photo's on www.yachtlife.co.uk although after that we never had the time to update the site. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
