Ocean Village Marina - Any good?

Loike a lot on here been there over 4 years now, love it to bits but as Peter said earlier I'm sort of kept up a corner out of sight. Very obliging staff, very quiet, lovely run to Soton Water to warm engines, no lock, little Tesco Express, ATM, Bars, Restaurants, 2 Cinemas, great neighbours, cracking place.

Not too sure about this car park / hotel scenario and again on cheap side so facilities a bit of a walk but I need the exercise any time of day or night. See some superb pieces of kit in there on occasion too. Only downside for us, the Charter boats and I suspect most of the litter problems and parking problems are caused by them, unless Leopards in, what a pain they are!! A walk on a Sunday afternoon down the south side toward the big car park reveals black bin bags just left by the side of virtually all charters, that is if you can get through for sails being dried on the pontoon. I've mentioned to charter co's but they don't seem to care.

Otherwise I think a great mooring if a litlle pricey, but thats the south coast I suppose.

I'm on K, no dirt from building works, walk to car park not too bad if you can't get in the small one by us. Staff helpful, lecky works most of the time, shamrock 5 min by rib, so is Hythe. All inall a good marina, and our side, tho cheaper , is better
