Ocean Globe Race

Hi,

I have an interest in joining Ocean globe Race 2023

I signed up for email updates to Ocean Globe Race in June.
Had an acknowledgement.
Since then nothing heard.
Has anyone else signed up. If so have you heard anything?

To join the race there are some interesting requirements, most I can meet, however a minimum of 7 crew on my 46 ft is not going to happen. I have been in contact with organisers about this through FB. Apparently lowering min.crew level may be considered at a later date, presuming they are waiting to see what the uptake is on there current rules of race.

I'm thinking if you join the Golden Globe Race in 2023, you'll be a year too late.

I didn't spot any mention of '7 crew', although thoughts of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' and 'Seven Brides For Seven Brothers' came to mind. Don Macintyre might be planning a musical for his next production. That might suggest, to some, a hint of my advanced age....

Another Don Macintyre Production. This one has 56 pages of rules. I wonder what/which they'll breach and/or ignore this time.....

I think it's cool and I bet it fills up. I intend to find my way on to a boat if I can work the logistics out. Not sure why boats need to run their engine for an hour every Monday though.
