I can now tell you that as of last Friday, I no longer own a Trader.

I do own a Fairline Squadron 59 which is up for sale.

I am posting just to thank you all for your support that counted so much in the resolution of this matter. So THANK YOU.

It must be a great relief. I hope the support you have had on here has, in some small way, helped you through this long and difficult saga.

Best wishes for a) the sale of Drumbeat, and b) the next boat! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Glad to see you back - and a relief I'm sure for all your stirling efforts in getting a resolution

Hopefully the pressure exerted on a number of fronts did its job for you.

Well done !

PS Did you keep my jetrib ? !!!!

I hope to order a marlow 72 LR later in the year but first want to investigate those Power Cats just to rule them out or in - so a trip to down under beckons soon.

As it can take almost 2 years to get a Marlow built I may well go for a used one to see me through to then but they have become very rare!

Paul

Really glad to hear it worked out in the end......I bet waiting for the settlement was nerve-wracking and I can only guess how relieved you are now!

Good luck with the future - may the Squaddie become history and something sexy take it's place for the future.

Regards

Nick

“silly question
Does this mean they paid you ??”

Not a silly question but I cannot answer it.

It did do the job and yes I have kept the jet rib – just spent £1700 on it but have decided to sell it pending the new boat and new rib.

Pleased to hear it has worked out /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i wish you happy 'carefree' boating in the future. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cor, big sigh of relief I expect. Don't suppose Emsworth is your favourite place these days!

Hope the next adventure goes better
Cheers
Tom

Very pleased to hear you have finally achieved resolution.

Obviously you have lost so much boating time which cannot be compensated for (although with the weather at the moment I can recommend boating in a shed)- so all the best for some proper cruising from now on.

Is Drumbeat back in Swansea?

Kind regards, Mike

Well done for seeing this sorry saga through. We await with interest the next stirring drama and the preventative measures put in place to provide a greater sense of security!

I have certainly learnt a lot from your actions, so thank you for keeping us informed.

Well, Paul, I have to say that you're one stubborn bugger. I'm sure there are not many peeps on this forum that would have been single minded enough to see this saga through to a satisfactory ending as you have done. It's been a hugely interesting and often entertaining story which I'm sure has caused you much stress and upset but thank you for sharing it with us. If any good is to come out of this, it is that it might save some of us from getting into a similar situation
