Suggest new forum for the anally correct use of English.

That's rather poor grammar, isn't it? You mean "*I* suggest a new forum..." - writing in note form is hardly likely to win people round to your point of view, is it?

'I' give top marks to tcm for taking the bait. Therefore, I respectfully request that tcm is appointed new Grammar Forum Moderator, which would allow one of the boatfixing references in his bio to be retired in favour of the new occupational therapy of moderation.

I am grateful for the nomination. However, the occupation of a moderator is the gerund ; "moderating", derived from the verb "to moderate". You used the noun "moderation", which has a different meaning.

I am indeed grateful for the correction. There's just no catching you out today, which only further venerates my viewes on your suitability for the even handed dispensing of moderating, in moderation, of course.
