Oak or Mahogany for my table?

What do you reck. I was thinking along the lines of 3/4 inch - Solid, yet not too fat?

I think mine is 1" thick mahogany. I'll check this weekend and let you know. I believe mine to be original so has stood the test of time so far (1953 boat).

I'm a bit tied up today and tomorrow, off skiing saturday. When I get back I'll measure up a couple of bits I have that might be of use, they are round the corner in the lock up, they are treads from a dismantled staircase, nice mahogany, I am keeping the long lengths but have little use for the treads.

Send me a PM reminder in a weeks time.

You don't think that the 70s look is "Classic"? Think of the possibilities. Furry cladding to the deck head; dark purple emulsion; his n' hers stickers in the windows and best of all, brown vinyl leatherette over the coach roof. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
