Alex Thompson has jumped into the lead on day 3. And he's absolutely sending it. Averaging about 2 knots faster than the rest of the fleet.

Interesting that half the fleet are out due to hitting stuff.
Talk is that its the increase in whale population!

Having almost hit a spermy at 7knts sailing across biscay I'd hate to think what its like to actually hit one, let alone at 18knts!

Looks like Mr Thomson has sailed into a bit of a hole. 0.7 knots and 7 miles behind now.

Centre of the high is tracking north so HB might get lucky. Wish this nighttime blackout wasn't a thing.

Seems somewhat unlikely now. Very encouraging to see Alex doing so well in the run up to the Vendee though!
