We bought a set of paper charts in their book format a month ago, I was advised i could then download them in an electronic version on the laptop. Went onto the NV website and went to download their app for Microsoft, it downloaded then lots of warnings from Macafee about viruses etc etc so i cancelled the download.

Does anyone have any experience/advice using this app please ?

Did it come with a CD or just a licence code?

We used NV extensively on paper, plus on iPad and Android phone. Not quite as intuitive as Navionics, and raster than than vector charts, but very effective.

Also have on Win10 home computer, but Chart software was downloaded from CD supplied with first NV Charts so didn’t install anything from Microsoft App store (tend to avoid the latter if possible)

No it came with just the code which i did have to ask for as there was no card and certainly no CD with the chart pack

:encouragement:

I have a samsung tablet, i could try to upload on there nothing to vital i dont want to loose on that.

Go for it. Android and Apple Apps work fine. Mine are on my primary devices.
It just seems to be the Win10 App that you seem to have concerns about that’s we have not used.
To be honest for most people a tablet is a better platform for charts than a laptop is.
