Oh dear, no change in numbers for me. Shame I don't have a much smaller boat so I could carry more!!

Sorry to hear that but this whole thing seems to be run like a huge backside covering exercise. Not sure this is how Britain became a great seafaring nation. How many soldiers did your boat rescue from Dunkirk vs being allowed to take on the gentle waters of the Thames?

Well at the end of the day there has been some positive movement from the organisers on numbers which is greatly appreciated. Not for me sadly but in the end it is good that some common sense has prevailed.

Curious that a public celebration of the Queens Anniversary is surrounded by a reluctance to discuss any matters relating to the event,surely not a sign of people being worried about being turfed off the flottila for speaking out of turn.
Looks likely we will be discussing openly how much tax all we pay long before this murky little episode is open to inspection by all interested parties.

Not an issue for me, personally, but clearly one that some here have views about.
If people are, indeed, reluctant to air the facts for fear of 'reprisals' - real or imaginary - that is particularly sad.

OK just to get the conspiracy theories out of the way - I just think the organisers have moved a lot on a large number of boats. As a result, I think we should move on from this issue. I was limited to 6 persons on Lady Gay including crew which I think is a bit silly to be honest. I appealed and was apparently not successful. Of course I am disappointed but in the end many people who did appeal were successful and I am pleased for them and also happy that the organisers listened to complaints.
My reluctance to go into it was merely that I think there has been a lot of noise on the subject and I would prefer that this issue is no longer a distraction. Trust me that it has nothing to do with concern about "reprisals".
