I’ve had that happen in the house. Split regulator on the gas bottle - allowed full bottle pressure to come through and blow the seals on the taps.

Edit - the gas bottle wasn’t IN the house - but the hob was…. But you all knew that really.

no its made by dometic in Germany and was £300

Well if it was fitted by gas engineer he would have pressure tested it surely.

they are sending a replacement unit out by courier Wednesday and they will take mine away
turns out there is a recall on some of these

The drop test is done with the gas taps off. Perhaps it only leaks when the gas is turned on?

When mine did exactly this it was due to a faulty regulator. By then it was too late and the hob was FUBAR’d as well.
