Now that\'s boat building....
Saw this on a scout around on tinternet looking at one of my all time fav long distance trawlery things (cus they were built 500 yards away from where I lived and I used to go and pester the old boys that worked on them when I was about 12 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Malahide trawlers, in those days (and probably today) there was nothing like them.
This one was built from an ex Whitby 1949 trawler, guess the conversion must have been around mid 1960's.
Lifted out a year ago almost to the day looking a bit sad
Stage one of the refurb
Stage two
Stage three
Stage four
The finished job
And all yours after a huge 12 month restoration job for ....£180,000.00 , sign of the times Stateside /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
