Novosail - alternatives

Just been trying to find the phone number for Novosail as I wanted two sails cleaned but it looks they went belly up last autumn (google brought up some insolvency docs), which is a shame. Does anyone know if their machinery etc is now being used by another sail cleaning company?

Or can anyone suggest somewhere good to get sails cleaned (one of which is a huge 140% headsail with 19m luff)?

I seem to recall Arthurs Chandlery in Gosport used to valet and launder sails, it may be wirth contacting them

I used Arthurs a couple of Months ago (who in turn use tiptop) to get my jib sail cleaned and all went rfine - took about a week that's all.

I have used sail canvas cleaning , also known as Hancock marine services. They are near Sidmouth in Devon but many sailmakers use them and arrange transport. They have made a good job of my sails.i will be using them again this year.

They wont deal with you direct. They only deal through their trade partners . See post #4
