I am an absolute novice, currently hold RYA level two for power boats. I am intending to charter a boat on Costa Brava in the summer. They are asking for Titulin/PNB for the type of boat I would want. I am aware of the discusions regarding acceptance/or not of RYA qualifications by Spanish authorities. Does anyone have any practical experience whether my qualification will be accepted, and if so what level of Spanish qualification it would equate to.This is purely for leisure.

All you need is to get an ICC from the RYA. This is the equivalent of the powerboat level 2 and will be accepted in Spain.

Yep
Ask the School to sign off an ICC application form for You
You will meed a passport type photo too.

Send off to the RYA
The address etc is in the book You would have recd for the PB2 Course.
This will give You the ICC licence thinghy.
Which will be good for up to 10 metres
Unless of course You did the PB2 on a bigger vessel!!:)

The ICC is a downloadable form from the RYA website, the school that did your PB2 can sign it off but thats not necesary just photo copy your certificate fill out the ICC form join the RYA or cough up for the application (it costs much the same) and send it all in with a passport picture with your name on the back of it.

and hey presto
