1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. Obstruction. Foul. - Diverse locations for two reduced depths and a revision of a FOUL to a reduced Obstn. One reduced depth on the unnamed sandbank north of the Inner Gabbard Wind Farm, the second to the east of the North Shipwash and the ‘new’ Obstn on the Shipwash.

2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Buoy. - Deletion of one of the ship’s moorings in the Northfleet Hope reach of the River Thames.

3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three small reductions of depth on the edge of the Sea Reach shipping channel, River Thames. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

Local

1. LONG REACH - TEMPORARY FENDER ARRANGEMENTS ESSO No. 1 JETTY (River Thames) - Following the work carried out in November to remove the failed downstream jetty fender, further works will now take place to remove the upstream jetty fender and install temporary yokohama floating fenders and backing panels. These works are due to take place from 5th December 2019 and will be carried out intermittently until January 2020 subject to weather conditionsas follows:
5th and 6th December 2019 Diving Operations
w/c 16th December 2019 Downstream temporary fender and panel installation
w/c 13th January2020 Upstream existing panel removal, temporary fender and panel installation
At times lifting and diving operations will take place from the crane barge THAMES TRANSPORTER, with assistance from the tug SILVER BEAM,during which time a ‘Proceed with Caution’ will be broadcasted by London VTS. The works will also involvemen working on the waterline and the safety boat GPS ALERT will be in attendance. All vessels involved will display International Code Flags "Romeo Yankee" when the ‘Proceed with Caution’ is in placeand will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch 68.

3. Blakeney Harbour - note that the following buoys have been removed today:

HARBOUR ENTRANCE BUOY No. 1 ( starb) positioned N 52° 58.846’. E 000° 58.323
HARBOUR ENTRANCE BUOY NO. 2 (starb) positioned N 52° 58.867’. E 000° 58.025’

These buoys will be repositioned in the new harbour entrance channel during Spring 2020. Vessels entering the harbour during the Winter, before the new entrance channel is fully buoyed, should refer to the Notice to Mariners issued by the Blakeney Harbour Association on 27/11/19, (which can be viewed in the Temporary List on http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html

Thanks Roger and a Merry Christmas to you. Glad to see they have returned to dredging at Wells, I was starting to worry that they might have given up the battle against nature!
