Apologies for being away last week earning sailing vouchers and bringing foreign earnings into the country (not enough to save us but it all helps).
I've rolled weeks 49 and 50 together.
Permanent
1. Three new UKHO charts published - Canvey Island to Tilbury, Knock John Channel to Sea Reach and Dover to North Foreland.
2. Some changes to big ship stuff at the South Falls TSS including AIS on the Lanby
3. Some reduced depths in Gallions Reach and off Broadness in the Thames.
4. A new precautionary area around Thornton Bank off Belgium.
5. A collection of changes in the Thames - new Haven Warning light characteristics (two places although Imray charts already appear to be correct so it may be correcting an old error in UKHO charts), greater depth in the Yantlet, reduction of depth near the Lower Hope and movement of the Mucking No 1, West Blyth and Cliffe Fleet - the latter probably being worth noting if you go that way.
6. As notified in the ECS news, reductions of depth at the Long Sand Head which is definitely worth noting if you go that way and also around the Knock Deep side of the Long Sand.
Temporary
1. The last five turbines are due on the London Array this week. Rock dumping still taking place on the Berms on the Kentish Flats.
2. Notification that the 'turning buoys' for Wallesea Pier are now lit in the Crouch.
3. Ipswich Lock back in operation - opening times provided.
4. The notice (as mentioned in another thread) about works at Woolverstone Marina.
5. Ban on Stand Up Paddle Boarding on the tidal Thames - there's nowhere to have fun is there anymore? Surely gentlemen don't sit down to do it?
6. Foul Ground near the NE Akkaerts off Belgium.
7. Foul ground at the West Hinder big ship anchorage.
That's it.
