Quite a bit it seemed this week:

Permanent

1. A reduced depth of 1.3m just outside the lock to Chatham Marina;
2. Virtual buoys! Yeap, 'no-see-ems'. The three starboard hand buoys in the Geul van de Walvischstaart (which as everyone knows is the small north-south channel leading to the Westerschelde) are now virtual AIS buoys and the three port hand buoys have been moved slightly. Now who knows what the symbol is for the starboard lateral IALA A? I've had a go at it. Not sure if the triangle is supposed to swivel to point down the channel?
3. A pot pourri of reduced depths in the Thames: two at Coryton which won't affect us, one new drying spot on Mucking Flats, a reduced depth to 6m at the western side of the small crossing point in Lower Hope Reach (a reduction of over 2.5m!) and a shallow depth at Clubb's Jetty.

Temporary

1. Work on groynes at Felixstowe, Deben and Bawdsey which may effect end marking temporaily;
2. Crouch No 11 fairway buoy temp. unlit;
3. River Crouch, sewer outfall at Rice and Coles marking post broken so a temp. unlit yellow buoy and withies have been deployed.
4. Commercial traffic to Wallesea re-commences as from today;
5. Brightlingse Town Jeyy - work finished - back in full commission;
6. River Yare, berth 30, lots of work being undertaken until March;
7. River Yare - Haven Bridge - ditto lots of work until end of March affecting passage - see notice for details;
8. London Array - Kentish Flats and the Rock Berm. Slight move of two of the four buoys to make room for works on additional cables arising from the Kentish Flats wind farm extension.

That's it.:encouragement:
