UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices

1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. -
Seven reductions of depth in the River Thames off Hole Haven and the Tanker Jetties. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Works. Pontoon. - Works on Berth 1 in the River Yare and associated new pontoon works close by. The tide runs hard at that point.
3. BELGIUM - Depths. - 8 reductions of depth in and around the Goote Bank offshore Zeebrugge. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth right in the centre of the Yantlet Channel close to the recommended Small Craft Crossing transit twixt the West Leigh Middle and East Blyth buoys. At 11.8m it is unlikely to hinder any leisure craft but the Pilot of a Panamax might be concerned and a New Panamax v. worried!
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth in the River Thames, Lower Hope Reach, close south of the Ovens SHB. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
6. NETHERLANDS - Depths. - One reduction of depth close east of the Botkil-W west cardinal buoy off the Botkil Rassen shoal west of the Westkapelle Dutch coast. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

Local

1. RIVER THAMES - ERITH REACH - COLDHARBOUR JETTY WORKS -
on or about Wednesday 20th December 2023, contractors instructed by the operator of Coldharbour Jetty will carry out works on the riverside piles. The chartlet shows the general location of the works, indicated by the red box: These works will be carried out from multicat SWS ENDURANCE and will involve personnel working from a mobile elevated working platform (MEWP) and cutting & burning activities. These works are expected to be complete within 2 days of commencement. During these works, any requirement to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’. International Code Flags ROMEO YANKEE, will be displayed whenever a requirement to proceed with caution or at slow speed is in force. The display of these signal flags will be in addition to any signals, lights or shapes specified by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at sea and local regulations. London VTS will broadcast further information, as required, on VHF Channel 14.
2. Harwich Halfpenny Pier – Pontoon Bridges - from the week commencing 18 December 2023 the Harwich Ha’penny Pier pontoon connection bridges will be raised until January 2024.
3. Buxey No.1 Lighted Buoy- River Crouch - Buxey No.1 Lighted Buoy in approximate position. 51°39.178 N, 001°01.130 E is unlit.
4. 2024 Kings Lynn Fisher Fleet Flushes - Mariners are advised that fisher fleet flushes are scheduled for each month in 2024. Flushes will take place 3 hours after AM High Water for approximately 4 hours. All Masters of Fishing vessels in the Fleet are instructed to ensure that adequate lines are used as normal during spring flush tides. Flushes will be carried out with an approx. dock level of 7.0M. The Notice lists all the dates of the Flushes and detail can be seen in the Local List at: Notices to Mariners - where also the chartlets can be seen.
