In all the excitement yesterday, nearly forgot! But a very quiet week

Permanent

1. More Thames Estuary charts being revised because of the London Gateway changes

Temporary

1. Some works at Lower Hope Reach on the Thames with a floating pipeline to be avoided.
2. Ridham Dock, Ferry Reach, River Swale, sector light is temporarily out.

That's it.

Thanks Roger. It may be a bit late in the year, but just in case, may I add that at West Mersea, the Quarters Spit ECB is 'off station' - it broke away - and is likely to remain so throughout the winter. Take care, the spit remains firmly on station.

Thanks Colin.

Which reminds me that I had a reply from the London Array regarding the two Safe Water Marks. I received this:

"The latest information from Trinity House is that their position is to wait for final confirmation of completion of construction work, then they will survey the Foulgers Gat area, and decide on the most suitable positions for buoyage.

As the notice to stakeholders indicates, London Array has completed construction except for some remedial work. This work will temporarily be suspended at the end of October, and CDM regulations lifted until the spring of 2014, when CDM regulations will again be enforced. At this point I cannot say as to the length of construction operations next year."

I was sent pdf of the new London Array O&M operations brochure, and the notice to fishermen which are now downloadable from my web site (I've put them into one download). The O&M brochure is said to give good information for craft wishing to transit the Foulgers Gat and I think combined with my download (still available) will give all the information people should need. In particular can I draw people's attention to the cautions in the O & M brochure about hazards close to the turbines. See at http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page6.html (at the bottom of the page)
