1. Notification of AIS placement on the Varne, East Goodwin, NE Spit and Sandiettie light buoys
2. UKHO confirmation of the removal of the Cardinals marking the Thanet Wind Farm during construction (it's operational now). the Thanet N and Drill Stone remain
3. Removal of a marine farm on the Kwintebanke leaving fould ground
4. Removal of the yellow VH1 buoy off Zeebrugge
5. Some new depths on the Fairy Bank but these should NOT (courtesy of Stork le trois) trouble us.

Temporary

1. In field cable burying at the London Array Wind Farm
2. Trinity House notice regarding placement of AIS and the messages they transmit on lighthouses or lightbuoys
3. Trinity House notice re DGPS transmissions
4. Notice of the usual sediment placement operations within Harwich Harbour using the Stour and Orwell dumping sites
5. Removal of the seabed obstruction within Harwich Harbour notifed in Week 35 last year.
6. Removal of the boom and navigational buoys at Kingsnorth Power Station
7. Update on the environmental monitoring buoys in the Black Deep, Oaze and Sea Reach.

It's hard to imagine Maurice Griffiths waxing lyrical about AIS beacons the way he did about the Buxey and Nass beacons!

I waxed lyrical about the Nass beacon once! Can out of Mersea on a pitch dark moonless night with the plan to use the Nass as the start point only to find that the light had been taken away for service! And two unmarked committee buoys with warps trailing in the water lurking nearby:eek:
