Nothing from the UKHO for our area this week.

In Temporary Notices warning of a survey of the cable route etc to the East Anglian 1 Wind Farm. This affects the area we would use to go up from Felixstowe to the Deben and Ore including off the Deben, Ore and Orfordness. There's a 'chart' on the website. Shouldn't be a problem, just something to be aware of.

London Array have not yet posted their update on work for this week yet (as at 8.30am) so I am unable to refresh the image on the progress of that Wind Farm yet. From my reading of the info available, it is unlikely that the cable laying will reach Fisherman's Gat this week. I'll update that as soon as they post the info up.

Please advise our customers who wish to transit Foulgers/Fishersmans to call the guard vessel Ocean Dragon on Ch16 they will then get the very latest info.
Especially whilst the wx is so calm - work commences at a pace.:D

Did that a while ago. I'll put it in the temporary notice as a permanent item (if you follow me) when I update it as they have now posted their weekly update. Wish they did it more promptly, two of the 5 working days have already gone!
 
London Array Wind Farm update is now available. Work is planned on the side of Foulger's Gat this week so expect the Gat to be unavailable.

Yeoman - I have include the reference to 'call the guard boat' which this week is supposed to be the 'Mary Ann 1.'
 
swale cable

have they actually started the cable pull across Seasalter Flats to the Swale channel ? - if its happened its been remarkably quick - supposed to take ten weeks in all - not seen any barges or other vessels (except the Grapnel ship which has been to and fro for weeks)

'moblization for the cable pull in operation at the sub-station may commence" is this week's statement on that part of the work. See

The schedule for the first cable laying has the shore/inter-tidal completed by the end of this week but elsewhere it does say 10 weeks! The Offshore cable laying was scheduled to run from week 2 August to end of week 1 September.

The grapnel work is the first item to clear the route of any debris.
