1. THE SWALE – KINGSFERRY BRIDGE - Period of Restricted Operation -
due to planned industrial action by the rail Union RMT there will be disruption to the operating periods for Kingsferry Bridge. The strike is planned for Wednesday July 27th 2022, however, the impact will also affect periods outside of this day. Network Rail have implemented contingency plans which will cover part of the disruption, please see below for the bridge operational timetable:

Wednesday 27th July 2022
Midnight - 06:00 Normal service will be maintained
06:00 – 07:00 No bridge lifts available
07:00 – 19:00 Contingency operator on shift – Bridge lifts available
19:00 – 06:00 (28th) No bridge lifts available

Priority will be given to commercial shipping, however, leisure craft will also be able to transit the bridge but it is advised to give as much notice as possible to avoid delays. If talks between employers and the unions are successful and industrial action is avoided a cancellation notice will be issued. Admiralty Chart Number 2572 refers. 2. River Medway – Sheerness Docks & Chatham Lock Approaches - Diving Operations - diving operations are due to take place at Sheerness Docks and Chatham Lock Approaches.
Sheerness No.11 Berth
Diving operations to inspect the barge “Pluto” on Sheerness No.11 berth are due to commence on 27.07.2022. Diving is expected to start at approximately 11:00 with completion by 15:00, “Seatech Diving” will monitor VHF Channel 74 at all times and notify Medway VTS when divers enter the water and upon completion.
Chatham Lock Approaches
Diving operations in the approaches to Chatham Locks are due to commence on 25.07.2022. Diving will be conducted from the vessel “Medway Hunter” over the high water period at the approximate location shown below. Medway Hunter will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 74 at all times. All passing ships and leisure craft should navigate with caution and reduce their wash appropriately when diving is underway in the areas stated above. Admiralty Chart No. 3683 & 1834 refers. 3. London Array Wind Farm - revised Notice on Diving Operations - All mariners are advised that between June and September 2022 diving operations will be undertaken throughout the Wind Farm. Three dive vessels and several support vessels will be utilised during the works. The Dive vessels will be conducting diving works associated to the cable protection system using, subsea installation tools and divers within the London Array Wind Farm.
Shallow Dive Support Vessel: RIB Alpha - The SDSV will undertake mooring deployment and diving operations within 50m of the assigned WTG.
Dive Support Vessels - The DSV will undertake mooring operations and diving operations within 125m of the assigned WTG.
Support Vessels - For the duration of the work the dive vessels will be supported by three support vessels. These vessels will be conducting the following tasks:
• Crew transfers between Ramsgate and the Offshore Wind Farm
• Deployment of moorings
Planned Diving Locations and Restricted Access Zones
The work commenced on the 15th of June 2022 and continue for approximately 3 months. During this period diving locations will be selected based on tidal and environmental conditions. A total of three locations could be operational at any one time. Information about what location is presently being worked on will be transmitted over VHF, informing all local vessels of restrictions.
