UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices
1. BELGIUM - Wrecks. - Two Notices combined; one for UK charts, the other for the Belgium charts: the Notices show reductions of depths over wrecks in three places. Two are east of the Oostende harbour, the third on the Middelkerke Bank offshore. Ample water for leisure craft over the Middelkerke Bank. Two images.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Foul. - One new FOUL with an approximate position (PA) in the Warp, east of the S. Shoebury PHB.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Anchorage areas. Legends. - Slight adjustments to the limits of the Thamesmead and Halfway shipping anchorages in the Barking and Halfway Reaches of the River Thames.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two reductions of depth adjacent to the Sea Reach 1 North yellow special buoy. Ample water for us and unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depth information. - A preliminary notice announcing a new depth south of the South Shipwash south cardinal buoy (the big ship channel from the Sunk to Felixstowe). Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

1. Sea Reach - London Gateway - Dredging - on or about Tue 24th June 2025, contractors instructed by London Gateway Port will commence dredging operations in the vicinity of Berths No. 1, 2 and 3. Dredging will be carried out by dredger “AQUADELTA”, using the water injection dredging method, during ebb tides only. The approximate dredge area is indicated by the red boundaries on the chartlet. (see in the Local List at Notices to Mariners) Dredging works are expected to be completed within 10 days of commencement. Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68.
2. Gravesend Reach - Red Lion Wharf - Fender Removal Works - on 23rd June 2025, for a period of 3 days, works to remove damage timber fender piles will be taking place at the upriver mooring dolphin on Red Lion Wharf, Gravesend Reach. The exact location of the works is depicted by a red box shown in the chartlet. Works will involve vessel GPS BOXER and include diving and heavy lifting operations, as well as personnel working at the waterline. When diving is taking place, the GPS BOXER will display the following signals:
By day, International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, ‘Alpha (A)’ and a red flag near the diver’s point of entry into the water.
By night, illuminated rigid replicas of the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’.
Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68.
3. Gallions Reach - King George V Lock Gates - Diving Operations - on or about Thursday 19th June 2025 contractors for the Royal Docks will continue repair works on the outer lock gate of the King George V Lock. These works are expected to be completed at the end of July. To facilitate these works the outer lock gate will remain open, and regular diving operations will take place. When diving is taking place, contractors will display the following International Code Flags as in item 2 with the same warnings.
4. Sea Reach - Calor Gas Jetty - Dredging Operations - on or around 30th June 2025, for approximately 2 weeks the vessel AQUADELTA will be undertaking water injection dredging operations in the area surrounding Calor Gas Jetty on Canvey Island. Dredging operations will only take place on ebb tides in the location indicated by a red box on the chartlet. Above warnings also included.
5. London Array Wind Farm - SOV WTG Fleet Service Campaign - the SOV REM ENERGY will be on site from 25/06/2025 until the 18/08/2025 to carry out the annual fleet service campaign on all 175 wind turbine generators within London Array windfarm. The vessel will be active 24hr continually through it’s time period on site with the support of CTV Windcat 29. (Call Sign : 2EYQ8; MMSI: 235089224). Jack-up Vessel: REM ENERGY has a length of 89m and breadth of 20m with a draft of 4.5m (and looks like a monster!). Call Sign : LAMG8; MMSI: 257769000; IMO: 9740732
A 500m radius restricted zone will be in place, centred around REM Energy If access is required to this zone for non-project vessel traffic, authorisation must be requested from the vessel master.
