UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary Notices:
1. ENGLAND - South Coast - Depths. Wrecks. - Two reductions of depth in Dover Harbour; one within the marina, the second inside the west entrance. Also a revised depth at the wreck at the western entrance.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth at the Long Sand Head just south of the Longsand Head north cardinal buoy. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft. The image is drawn by CTTE and includes 2024 reductions at the Long Sand Head.
3. NORTH SEA - Netherlands Sector - Fairway. Buoyage. Depths. - Two areas of shoal depths in the Slijkgat fairway – the channel to Stellendam.

1. River Thames - Long Reach - Lafarge (Tarmac) Jetty Works - on or about 17th June 2025, works are expected to commence at LaFarge (Tarmac) Jetty in Long Reach. The chartlet shows the general location, indicated by red markings. These works comprise removal and repair / replacement of various ladders and fenders on the jetty face, and will involve lifting operations and personnel working on the waterline. A crane barge is expected to be alongside the jetty for these works; and tugs, workboats and small craft may be in attendance. Any requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed, will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee’ displayed. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and
the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Personnel are expected to work 0700–1800, Monday to Friday only and these works are planned to be completed no later than 27th June 2025. Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68.
2. River Thames - Blackwall Reach to Upper Pool - Royal Thames Yacht Club Pageant Local Traffic Control, Pier and Lock Closures - Long Notice with schedules and events. See full details and image in the Local List at Notices to Mariners
3. River Thames - Greenwich Reach - Royal Naval College - UAV Operation - on Thursday 19th June 2025, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operation will be conducted outside the Royal Naval College Greenwich. The operation will take place at 23:00 and is expected to last approximately 10 minutes.
To support this operation, an exclusion zone will be implemented across half of the channel during the flight and encompassing the UAV safety area, as depicted in red in the chartlet. Local Traffic Control will also be established between 22:50 and 23:10 between Lovell’s Wharf and Greenwich Ship Tier.
Local Traffic Control will be undertaken from a PLA Harbour Service Launch exhibiting blue flashing lights. All vessels intending to navigate Greenwich Reach are to call the PLA Harbour Service Launch callsign ‘GREENWICH CONTROL’ on VHF Channel 14 as follows:
Inbound at Lovell’s Wharf: Outbound at Greenwich Ship Tier.
Prior to leaving a berth or mooring between Lovell’s Wharf and Greenwich Ship Tier. Owners and operators are reminded that no manned vessels other than emergency services responding to an incident are permitted to pass through the exclusion zone. All vessels are to maintain a continuous watch on VHF Channel 14, following instructions from the attending Harbour Service Launch. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
4. River Thames - Sea Reach - London Gateway Berth 4 - Diving Operations - On or about the 18th June 2025, diving operations will commence daily at the Western end London Gateway berth 4. Diving will be during daylight hours only. Location of works are outlined in the chartlet. Diving operations will be undertaken from the vessel “EMELIA D” which will be moored in the vicinity of the return wall at the most Western end of Berth 4. No diving works will be permitted during vessel movements at London Gateway berth 4. All participating vessels will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 and will remain in direct contact with the London Gateway Harbour Master and shift managers. Mariners are urged to exercise caution and remain vigilant while navigating in the vicinity of London Gateway. When diving is taking place, vessels engaged in diving operations will display the following in accordance
with Byelaw 33: By day, International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, ‘Alpha (A)’ and a red flag near the diver’s point of entry into the water By night, illuminated rigid replicas of the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’
5. Harwich Haven - Dredging and Survey Operations - are taking place as follows:
➢ Porthos (Callsign: MYVS5) – from 17 June 2025 will be carrying out survey operations in Harwich Harbour, Felixstowe berths and the River Stour for approx. 3 weeks.
➢ MTS Valour (IMO: 9407299) – from 19 June 2025 will be carrying out plough dredging in Harwich Harbour, Felixstowe berths and the River Stour for approx. 3 weeks.
➢ Medway (IMO 9524152) - from or around 23 June 2025, will undertake trailing suction hopper dredging operations in Harwich Harbour and Felixstowe berths for approximately 2 weeks.

6. Surveyed Depths – Harwich Harbour – Update 10 - the latest hydrographic surveys showing depths in Harwich Harbour. The controlling depth for deep draught vessels navigating within the harbour area should currently be taken as 15.3m below chart datum, plus height of tide. Significant depths below chart datum (not including inside berth boxes) are:
• 15.3m - spot soundings between the North West Beach Buoy and Grisle Buoy
• 15.2m - spot soundings between the Grisle Buoy and Shotley Spit Buoy
• 15.2m - spot soundings between the Shotley Spit Buoy and Babergh Buoy
