UKHO Permanent/Temporary/Preliminary
1. ENGLAND - East Coast - NM Block. - This Notice introduces a new UKHO block adding detail to the Dooley Container Terminal at Felixstowe.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Light. - This notice is associated with the UKHO block in the previous NtM. The block illustrates the new light on the Dooley Container Terminal.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Seven reductions of depth, three at the North Scroby sands and channel north of Caister and four at the NE Holm and Holm approaches to Great Yarmouth. Both of these areas have already reported revised depths vide NtM 1266 and 1124(T) so all soundings are included in the image.

1. GRAVESEND REACH - TILBURY LANDING STAGE WORKS - On or about 22nd June 2022 contractors Delphini will commence jetty improvement works at Tilbury Landing Stage, on behalf of POTLL. Operations will take place Monday-Friday between 0600 and 1800, with an expected completion date of 07th July 2022. The chartlet below shows the approximate footprint of the works (see in the local list in the above quoted web page). The works will include lifting operations and operatives working on the water line, requiring vessels to pass with caution. Requests for vessels to proceed with caution or pass at slow speed will be made by London VTS on VHF ch.68, in accordance with the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, section 4. Any further details will be broadcast by London VTS on channel 68.
2. Harwich Haven Channel Deepening Project: Temporary buoy moves: On 16 June 2022 the Landguard Buoy will be moved to a temporary position, approximately 30m outside its assigned positions to allow for channel dredging.
The approximate temporary position for the buoys is given with lat/long in the full notice i the local list on the above quoted web page. The buoys will be moved back to their designated positions once the dredging is completed. A separate Notice to Mariners will be issued when the buoys are relocated.
3. THE SWALE – KINGSFERRY BRIDGE - Period of Restricted Operation - Notice is hereby given that: due to planned industrial action by the rail Union RMT there will be disruption to the operating periods for Kingsferry Bridge. The strikes are planned for June 21st, 23rd and 25th of 2022, however, the impact will also affect periods outside of these days. Normal service will be maintained up to 06:00 on Tuesday 21st June and will not resume until the 26th . Network Rail have implemented a contingency plan to cater for the spells of industrial action meaning the bridge will be manned and lifts available over the following dates and time periods.

Thursday 23rd June 2022 Midnight – 18:00

Priority will be given to commercial shipping, however, leisure craft will also be able to transit the bridge but it is advised to give as much notice as possible to avoid delays.
If talks between employers and the unions are successful and industrial action is avoided a cancellation notice will be issued.

4. Refurbishment Works to Bridgemarsh Marina – River Crouch - INFORMATION - work on the refurbishment of Bridgemarsh Marina has now commenced. Port Flair’s workboat Jean T and Piling Barge will be arriving on site soon. The Marina have kindly requested that unless mariners are a customer of Bridgemarsh Marina to please avoid Althorne Creek as there will be limited moorings available and parking facilities. Work is likely to be completed around mid-September 2022. Your co-operation in this matter would be appreciated.
5. Blakeney Harbour - Hydrographic Survey - Harbour users please be aware that a hydrographic survey will be taking place in the harbour over the next two weeks, subject to weather conditions. Where possible, Skippers are asked to give the vessel marked SURVEY a wide berth and to expect to see it crossing the channel at right angles. The survey area stretches from the Hjordis wreck area to the South Sands beacon area.
