1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Charts to be published 22 May 2025 - SN Chart 108 - England - East Coast, Approaches to The Wash. 1:75,000; Wells-next-the-Sea. 1:30,000 - This chart remains affected by Notices 5751(T)/24 (report of the isolated danger buoy south of the North Well SWB)and 489(T)/25. (A yellow wave light-buoy, Q(5)Y.20s4M, established in position 52° 58´·39N., 1° 07´·11E.)
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two slight reductions of depth in the Gravesend Reach of the River Thames, one amending a depth vide NtM 963 of week 8 of this year. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.

1. River Thames - Blackwall Reach - Brunswick Wharf - Exclusion Zone - With immediate effect a 60-meter exclusion zone has been established adjacent to Brunswick Wharf in Blackwall Reach. Mariners are advised that structural issues have been identified in a shoreside building. These issues pose a
potential risk to any vessels navigating in the vicinity. As a precaution, a temporary exclusion zone will be established in the river area immediately around the building. This exclusion zone is expected to last approximately 3 weeks, until remedial work has been conducted to ensure the safety of river users.
All vessels are NOT to navigate within this zone. The exclusion zone, as shown (see in the Local List at: Notices to Mariners, extends 60 meters from the river wall across the frontage of the wharf as shown. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
2. River Thames - Woolwich Reach - Thames Refinery Dredging Operations - commencing 19th May 2025 until 31st May 2025 inclusive, dredging operations will take place at Thames Refinery (Tate and Lyle). The general location of works is indicated by the red box on the chartlet. These dredging operations will be carried out by vessel MAAS or similar, using the water injection dredging method and will be conducted during ebb tides only. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’, displayed. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.

River Thames - Greenwich Reach - Fireworks Display - on Saturday 17th May 2025 at approximately 21:40 for a duration of approximately 5 minutes, a fireworks display will be taking place in the vicinity of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich. An exclusion zone will be in force between 21:30 and 22:00 between the upriver end of Greenwich Pier and the upriver end of the former Greenwich Power Station Pier. This Exclusion zone is depicted as ‘Closed to Navigation’ in the chartlet. While the Exclusion Zone is in force, no vessels are permitted to enter and manned vessels must not remain within, the Exclusion Zone, with the exception of emergency services vessels responding to an incident and vessels engaged in fireworks operations. The upper and lower Exclusion Zone boundaries will each be patrolled by a PLA Harbour Service Launch, displaying blue flashing lights. Vessels engaged in the fireworks operations include tug Haven Supporter and barge MH125. All vessels are to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the Exclusion Zone boundaries; maintain an effective, continuous listening watch on VHF Channel 14; and promptly comply with all instructions which may be given by the attending Harbour Service Launches. 4. River Thames - Gallions Reach - King George V Lock - Diving Operations - This supersedes and replaces M64-25. Mariners are advised that on or about Monday 19th May 2025 contractors for the Royal Docks will commence repair works on the outer lock gate of the King George V Lock. These works are expected to last approximately 6 weeks. To facilitate these works the outer lock gate will remain open, and regular diving operations will take place. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’sPort Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions.’ The operations should display International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’ and ‘Alpha (A)’ as appropriate: Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.
5. River Thames - Halfway Reach - Middleton Jetty - Jetty Inspection - on or about Monday 12th May contractors instructed by Middleton Wharf Riverside recovery will commence survey operations at Middleton Wharf, Belvedere. Works are expected to take no longer than 7 days. The general location of the works is indicated by the red box on the chartlet. These operations will be carried out by vessel “KG11” to undertake routine berth inspection and to undertake maintenance works where necessary. Works will involve the use of hand tools and persons working near the waterline. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’sPort Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Further details will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF Channel 14.

Works are expected to take no longer than 14 days. The general location of the works is indicated by the red box on the chartlet. These dredging operations will be carried out by vessel “BORR” using the water injection dredging method and will be conducted during ebb tides only. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’sPort Information Guide, under ‘Speed Reductions’. The display of these signals will be in addition to any lights or shapes required under local regulations and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. 7. The Wash - River Great Ouse – Wiggenhall St Peter. Sunken Cabin Cruiser - a 7.5M LOA Cabin Cruiser has sunk on the western edge of the river bank at Wiggenhall St Peter and is a hazard to navigation. (see image on the web page) Sunken vessel Position 52°41'.527’N 000°22'.279’E. This is a danger to navigation and Mariners are to keep clear of this position. A recovery operation is being planned by the Harbour Authority.
8. North Norfolk Coast - Under Water Operations by Research Vessel Simon Stevin. - will be carrying out under water operations between 14th to 20th June 2025 in an area off the North Norfolk coast as shown in the chart. Further details of the operations can be found on the Kingfisher website here;-
Geological Research - RV Simon Stevin 25-430 Mariners are requested to keep clear of RV “Simon Stevin” when restricted in ability to manoeuvre. A VHF listening watch will be maintained at all times on VHF channel 16.
9. Dover Harbour - Aspire Channel Swimming Training Weekends - users of the Port’s Recreation area are advised that Aspire will conduct channel swimming training events in the designated swim zone on the following dates:
06/06/2025 commencing 11:00 until 15:00
07/06/2025 commencing 10:00 until 14:00
08/06/2025 commencing 10:00 until 14:00
05/07/2025 commencing 10:00 until 15:45
06/07/2025 commencing 06:00 until 12:00
Vessels launching from the slipway must call Dover VTS on VHF Channel 74 before launching and again before entering the harbour or recreation area for recovery during these times. Vessels transiting the swim zone must do so at slow speed, keeping well clear of swimmers at all times.
10. Dover Harbour - Asset Inspection Works (CT2) - between 12th – 16th May, structural inspections of Cruise Terminal 2 will be undertaken from the vessels “Eagle” and “Orkney”. Vessels are requested to keep clear and pass at a slow speed, following instruction from Dover VTS on VHF Ch 74.
