UKHO Permanent/Prelimary/Temporary
1. BELGIUM - Buoy. - A small move south of the Temporary north cardinal buoy marking a wreck well clear west of Oostende harbour.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. Drying heights. - Recent surveys have indicated significant changes to charted drying banks and depths in the approaches to Woodbridge Haven with the channel having moved westwards and in the approaches to Orford Haven. This notice only notifies us of the significant drying heights at the Woodbridge Haven and Orford Haven. These changes are already incorporated in the Imray chartlets that can be downloaded at East Coast Pilot. The download button will take you direct to the relevant ECP page. Note that new editions of the relevant UKHO charts are due in mid 2021.

1. London Array Wind Farm - The six month programme described last week will continue with the potental 500m exclusion zones around diving. Now Work Vessel “Admiral P” will be onsite from 19/05/2021 undertaking Drone Survey Operations for approximately 14 days. A 250m radius restricted zone will be in place, centred on the Admiral P whilst inside the wind farm. If access is required to this zone for non-project vessel traffic, authorisation must be requested from the vessel master.
2. Lowestoft Inner Harbour – Oulton Rail Bridge Maintenance – Restriction to Navigation - the navigation beneath Oulton swing bridge (charted as Carlton swing bridge on BA1535 ) will be suspended during the following periods due to essential maintenance:-
• From 2300hrs Saturday 15th May to 0700hrs Sunday 16th May
• From 1700hrs Friday 21st May to 0900 on Saturday 22nd May
• From 1700hrs Saturday 22nd May to 0900 on Sunday 23rd May
• From 1700hrs Sunday 23rd May to 0900 on Monday 24th May
A floating pontoon will be in position beneath the bridge to facilitate this work, causing the restriction in the waterway/navigable channel. Works will be carried out by Network Rails contractor AmcoGiffen. For further information please contact them directly:- Tel. 07435962314
3. Port of Ramsgate - 3 Notices:
Mariners are advised that the B2 Buoy (51 18.3N 1 23.9 E) has been reported as unlit.
Mariners are advised that the Port Entry signal lights are unreliable. Confirm, with Port Control, before entering or departing Ramsgate Harbour.
Mariners are advised that the rear lead light for the Ramsgate Approaches is unlit. Caution should be exercised when using the channel at night.
One might observe that we better hope that electric cars are more reliable! Probably better not to go out in the rain!
