Apologies for being a day late. Was away earning sailing vouchers - meagre ones as it happens but it all helps.

Permanent - including a miscellany from Trinity House and Brightlingsea

1. New edition of Small Craft Chart Folio 56514 (Orfordness to Whitby) to be issued. Presumably will include the results of the surveys of the off-lying banks off Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
2. Small depth reduction in the Thames off Coalhosue Point that should not affect us (7m)
3. UKHO notice of two drying heights at the Woodbridge Haven. To this I have added details and chart images of the movements of the Woodbridge Haven Buoy and the Orford Haven Buoy which at the moment are only notified by Trinity House (but they put them there so they will be accurate!)
4. Trinity House notice that the Black Deep PHB has been moved north-east again. Reflects the movement north-east of the London Sand Head.
5. Trinity House notice again of the replacement of the wreck buoy over the Crebe off the Nass Beacon at West Mersea. Now a quite large (in comparison to the Quarters buoyage) red can with quite the brightest light around has been installed. Don't go between this red can and the Nass Beacon. You can download a revised copy of my chart showing the new marking. Incidentally Tollesbury are/have moved some of their buoyage a bit of which affects the western edge of this Quarters chart. The Tollesbury Chart is altered and will be available for download shortly. Look for Version 8.
6. New berthing pontton installed in Brightlingsea Harbour as promised. Chartlet shows the position. Should be good.
7. Tucked away in the London Array stuff is confirmation that Trinity House have now laid the 4 yellow special marks emcompassing the rock berm where the Power Cable for the London Array crosses that of the Kentish Flats Wind Farm. I have added the image we used in East Coast Sailing if you want to download that. But you can have a look at Dick's comments on this in the magazine.

Temporary

1. Update on the work programme for the London Array as usual.
2. Notice of trials yesterday (Monday) on new lights at the Thames Barrier. Not much use that one now!
3. Notice that a temporary obstruction at Great Yarmouth has been removed and the red can warning of it is to be removed in the future.

That's it. Sorry it was late.

As always, much appreciated.

The sun is shining through the windows and the birds are singing their heads off.

We will soon be sailing about some of the places that you mention in your reports. Reality beckons ................... at last.
