1. NETHERLANDS - Lights. Buoy. -
This notice amends NtM 729 in week 8 which changed the light characteristics of lights off Vlissingen reducing the height and changing the flashing from 3s to 9s. Also one port hand buoy (#OG22) is moved slightly to the west.
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Lights. - The sectors for the Kirkley light (located south of Lowestoft providing the sectors lights for the approaches to the harbour) are changed. Image showing the location but not changed. The change is quite small.
3. NETHERLANDS - Depths. - Three reductions of depth on the approaches to Roompotsluis, on in the Westgat, two in the Roompot. Unlikely to hinder leisure craft.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Three reductions of depth on the southwest of South Scroby and eight east of the Holm Sand. The reductions east of the Holm Sand are significant but not likely to hinder leisure craft. Two images on the usual webpage. Notices to Mariners

Local

1. SEA REACH - OIKOS JETTY WORKS -
On or about 14th March 2022 works will commence at Oikos Main Jetty to remove a marine loading arm. The works are expected to take around 5 days and will take place during daylight hours only.
The operation will be conducted using jack-up barge TOPJACK, with the loading arm being transferred onto pontoon NUMITOR for transit to Tilbury. Chartlet on the local list on the above quoted page. The works will include lifting operations and operatives working on the water line. Requests for vessels to proceed with caution or pass at slow speed will be made by London VTS on VHF ch.68, in accordance with the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London
VTS’, section 4.
2. Harwich Harbour - Dredging Operations – Rotterdam - From approximately the 16 March 2022, for a period of about 07 days, the trailing suction hopper dredger Rotterdam (IMO: 9229582) will carry out dredging operations in Harwich Harbour. The Rotterdam will be using the Inner Gabbard disposal site. It is then expected that the Rotterdam will assist with the deep-water channel capital dredge project. Given the increased frequency of vessel movements and dredging operations mariners are reminded of the importance of regulated vessel reporting requirements and necessity to maintain a good lookout ahead and astern. Detailed vessel movements can be obtained from Harwich VTS on VHF channel 71.

3. Harwich Harbour - Dredging Operations – Teddy - From approximately the 11 March 2022, for a period of about 15 days, the workboat Teddy will carry out plough dredging operations in the vicinity of the Felixstowe and Harwich
International berths. Given the increased frequency of vessel movements and dredging operations mariners are reminded of the importance of regulated vessel reporting requirements and necessity to maintain a good lookout ahead and astern.

4. PORT OF GREAT YARMOUTH - River Port Dredge Campaign – March 2022 - will be conducting dredging activities in the River Port during the month of March for an approximate 10-day window. The current start date is Thursday 10th March subject to favourable weather conditions. The port will be using the SOSPAN DAU for these activities. Mariners and Port Users are advised to be mindful of the dredger working in various areas and are required to keep well clear and to pass with caution. All communication of working areas will be advised by Local Port Services via VHF Channel 12. For further information Local Port Services are available on 01493 335511.
5. Survey work of Riverside Quay and King’s Lynn Dock - All mariners are advised that survey operations will take place between 0900hrs to 1800hrs on 15th of March 2022 by the UKD Resolution. Surveying will take place through out the day off the Riverside Quay, Fishing Fleet entrance and enclosed dock. All vessels are to keep clear of the UKD Resolution and pass at slow speed. UKD Resolution will keep a listening watch on VHF Channel 14.
6. Dredging of Riverside Quay and Enclosed Docks at Port of King’s Lynn - plough dredging operations will take place from 28th March 2022 through to 7th April 2022 by the Grab Dredger Cherry Sand. Dredging will take place inside King’s Lynn enclosed docks, Riverside quay as well as entrance to King’s Lynn fishing fleet with deposits being made in the West Stone deposit area. All vessels are to keep clear of the Cherry Sand and to pass at slow speed. Cherry Sand will keep a listening watch on VHF channel 14.
7. The Wash - Approaches to King’s Lynn : Bulldog Channel - Amendments to buoyage / Change of Approach Channel. - due to recent changes in the profile of the approach channels to King’s Lynn on Monday 7th Match 2022, the main approach channel was moved to the Bulldog Channel. The Daseley Channel is now un-buoyed and not suitable for navigation to Kings Lynn. All existing channel buoys from No.13 light buoy to the south have not be affected.

11. London Array wind Farm. - Maintenance on two turbines - one in field, the other is B09 which is one of the turbines on the edge of the dog-leg leading to Foulger's Gat. Details provided on the usual web page on the Local List - ring the coordinators this month to check if it is free.
