1. By Trinity House - LOWESTOFT LIGHTHOUSE - Latitude 52° 29.223’N., Longitude 001° 45.353’E. -
On or about the 1st April 2025, for a period of approximately three days, the light will be intermittent with an unreliable range. No further notice will be given.
2. River Thames - Halfway Reach - Fords Jetty - contractors instructed by the operator of Fords Jetty, are carrying out works to the Jetty Pontoon. Work is expected to be completed no later than Sunday 16th March, with works being undertaken between the hours of 0800 and 1600hrs only. The chartlet shows the general location of the works, indicated by the red box. Notices to Mariners and Local List. These works will have in attendance of support vessel “BRAVO LIMA” and will include persons working near
the waterline, including removal and replacement of the floating pontoons fixtures and fittings. During these works, any requirement to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’. International Code Flags ROMEO YANKEE. The display of these signal flags will be in addition to any signals, lights or shapes specified by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at sea and local regulations. London VTS will broadcast further information, as required, on VHF Channel 14.
3. River Thames - Limehouse Reach - Chalkstones Moorings Diving Operations - on Thursday 6th March 2025 diving operations will take place from vessel DRIFTWOOD 2 over the Low Water slack period at Chalkstone Roads Mooring No. 3 in Limehouse Reach. The exact location of works is depicted by a red box in the chartlet. When diving is taking place, vessels engaged in diving operations will display the following International Code Flags. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedure set
out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’. Further information will be broadcast by London VTS on VHF 14.
4. River Thames - Woolwich Reach - Diving Operations - Mariners are advised that diving operations will take place from vessel DRIFTWOOD 2 over the Low Water slack periods on the dates and locations listed in the table and shown on the chartlets.

5. River Thames - Sea Reach - Calor Gas Canvey Dredging - on or about Thursday 27th February, contractors instructed by the operators of Calor Gas Canvey will commence dredging operations in the area off the Calor Gas Jetty berth face. The general area of Calor Gas Jetty is indicated by the red markings on the chartlet. These plough dredging operations are planned to be carried out by vessel JENNY D and are expected to be completed within 7 days of commencement. However, further plough dredging operations may be undertaken at this location as required and concluding no later than Friday 21st March. Requirements to proceed with caution or at slow speed will be made in accordance with the procedures set out in the Port of London Authority’s Port Information Guide, under ‘London VTS’, ‘Section 4’ with the International Code Flags ‘Romeo Yankee (RY)’. Further details will be broadcast as needed by London VTS on VHF channels 68 & 69.
6. Harwich - Dredging and Survey Operations - Maverick - From or around 03 March 2025 the Maverick will be carrying out water injection dredging operations for approx. 2 weeks in the following areas around the harbour:
• Halfpenny Pier
• Harbour Master’s Pier
• Fishermen’s moorings
• Shotley Channel
7. River Medway – Short Reach. - Sunken Vessel – Medway Cruising Club Moorings - Peel Ports have been notified of a sunken vessel on the Medway Cruising Club Moorings in Short Reach at the following approximate position: 51° 24. 354 N. 000° 33. 098 E. The wreck is known to be a blue and white cabin cruiser 28ft long which is visible at low water is now marked with an unlit, yellow ‘pellet’ buoy denoted “Wreck”. A cancellation to this notice will be published when the vessel has been recovered. Further information may be obtained from Medway VTS on VHF Channel. Chartlet available.
8. River Medway – Saltpan Reach - Grain LNG Jetty 8 – Inspection works/Anode Testing - Pile Inspection/Anode testing is due to take place at Isle of Grain LNG Jetty 8. Work is expected to commence on or around Thursday 27th February 2025 and is expected to run for a period of 2 weeks. Craft involved will be the ‘Avocet’ and a small rib tender ‘Retriever’ who will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 74 and display day signals for respective operations. The inspection will take place along the face of the structure and underneath the jetty head.
All vessels passing Grain LNG Jetty 8 should navigate with caution, observe the LNG Jetty exclusion zone at all times and reduce speed and minimise wash accordingly. 9. Sheerness Docks - No. 4 Berth Extension Project - work on the Sheerness Docks, No. 4 berth extension project is due to commence on or around 1st March 2025. The project will be phased with some initial preparatory and demolition work taking place first along the quayside adjacent to Sheerness No 4 and No 5 berths. The crane barge “Skylift 2” will towed to Sheerness by the tug “Feije”, once on site they will be assisted by the tug “Knighton” and safety/transfer boat “WSB Recover” who will all remain on site. The overall expansion scheme is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025 when the new berth will be commissioned (see illustration). Updates to this Notice to Mariners will be promulgated as work progresses and additional marine assets arrive on site. All vessels transiting Sheerness Harbour should navigate with caution, reduce speed and minimise wash accordingly. 10. PORT OF GREAT YARMOUTH - Haven Bridge Operational - Haven Bridge is now operational and can be lifted for vessel traffic. Port of Great Yarmouth Notice to Mariners 006 – 2025 is hereby cancelled. 11. The Wash - Approaches to King’s Lynn Harbour. - Number 23 Buoy - Navigational Mark – On Station. Number 23 Buoy Navigational Mark damaged unit has been recovered and a replacement buoy is now on station. No 23 Buoy Position 52° 50'.225’N 000° 21'.758’E.
This notice cancels NtM 02/ 2025.
12. Dover Harbour - Full Port Surveying and Dredging Operation - Surveying, dredging and bed-levelling works will be taking place throughout the port for approximately 3 weeks commencing 25th February. Survey Vessels ‘Kippo’ and ‘Christine H’; Workboat ‘Sea Horse’ and Suction Dredger ‘Bluefin’ will be operating throughout the port under the instruction of Dover VTS. A wide berth and minimum wash is requested for these vessels while they are carrying out dredging operations within the harbour.
13. Dover Harbour - Dredging Operations Jet Foil Basin. - from Friday 7th March the backhoe dredger Wittan II will be operating in the jet foil basin supported by Split hopper barge ‘Split 3’ dredging the areas marked on the chartlet. The dredging works are expected to be completed in 1 week.

East Donyland Parish Council - Notice to Mariners 27th February 2025 to 31st March 2025
Temporary closure of Rowhedge Pontoon and removal of navigation light/marker [FLR 3S] Red flashing light with a period of 3 seconds.
Rowhedge Pontoon is being removed for maintenance purposes from the 27th February 2025 until 31st March 2025. Therefore, the use of the pontoon will not be available between these dates and will re-open on 1st April 2025. The navigation marker, [FL R 3S] Red flashing light with a period of 3 seconds, will also be out of service for the same period it time and back in service on 1st April 2025.
Mooring on the Rowhedge Quay may also be restricted between these dates.
