Ugh, a heap of Permanent Notices this week:
1. New Editions of Admiralty Charts 1st December, 2016 - Chart 323 - International Chart Series, Dover Strait, Eastern Part and Chart 1892 - International Chart Series, English Channel, Dover Strait, Western. New Editions of Admiralty Charts 15th December, 2016 - Chart 1534 - International Chart Series, England - East Coast, Great Yarmouth and Approaches, Great Yarmouth Outer Harbour and Great Yarmouth Haven and Chart 1535 - International Chart Series, England - East Coast, Lowestoft and Approaches, and Lowestoft Harbour.
2. ENGLAND - Thames Estuary - Kentish Flats - Fog signals. Wind turbines. Lights. Legend. NM Block. - this catches up with the revised position/ lights etc for teh extension of the Kentish Flats Wind Farm. There is a useful UKHO chart block which you can download on my usual page: http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html;
3. FRANCE - North Coast - Approaches to Dunkerque - NM Blocks. - another useful UKHO chartlet block showing the changes to the approaches to Dunkerque; again they can (there are two) be downloaded (in the one PDF);
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Thames Tidal Barrier W - Depths. - two revised reduced depths to the west of the Thames Barrier. Not hugely deep but ok for us;
5. ENGLAND - Thames Estuary - Knock John Channel - Depth. - one reduced depth but at over 14m in the centre of the Kncok Deep channel it will not hinder us;
6. FRANCE - North Coast - Approaches to Dunkerque - Automatic Identification Systems. - one of two AIS notifications in NtM this week. These two marking the Dyck channel;
7. BELGIUM - Wenduinebank SE - Submarine pipeline. Buoy. - a submarine and flaoting pipeline coming out from the coast just off the east of Ostende. New North Cardinal buoy marking the offshore end of the pipeline;
8. ENGLAND - Thames Estuary - London Array Wind Farm - Buoyage. - three new yellow special buoys but well out of the way for us in the Wind Farm towards the east side;
9. ENGLISH CHANNEL - Le Colbart (The Ridge), Vergoyer - Automatic Identification Systems. - four new AIS beacons in the eastern part of the Englsih Channel (ou La Manche!). These are the Colbart N and the Vergoyer NE, NW and SW.
Temporary
1. PLA drink and drugs campaign announced;
2. Beacon on the North of Stone Pier at Margate harbour is currently inlit;
3. The RA buoy (north of the Ramsgate Dredged Channel - east of the East Brake and west of the Gull) - Moved 20m south!
4. The B2 starboard hand buoy of the Ramsgate Channel off Pegwell Bay has been moved 100m northwest of its former position;
