1. NETHERLANDS - Europoort SW - Gat van de Hawk - NM Blocks. - two blocks of the same area at different scale. Now you will all know the Gat van de Hawk - you know just south of the sludge storage area to the south of the Europoort - following the images: http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html;
2. East Coast - Inner Dowsing Overfalls W - Wreck. - it's normally just out of the area I monitor but its a dangerous wreck unmarked inshore just to the south of Mablethorpe;
3. Thames Estuary - South West Sunk - Depths. - DON'T PANIC! This is a NTM as a result of my sending in my data. The result of the NtM automatically suggests the swatchway is very difficult. This is because the UKHO policy is only to publish NtM showing reductions of depth and not to include increases of depth in the NtM, attending to that in the next edition of the chart. The important issue of the NtM is to show the movement of the SW Knoll towards the north-east. I recommend you go to the better scale of my chartlet: there is a good swatchway still there. 1. REMEDIAL ROCK INSTALLATION - LONDON ARRAY BRITNED CABLE - as of 29th July more gardening of the rock berm over the power cables just south of the Princes Channel. It will no doubt prompt a revision of depths there but the North Cardinal is still there. The image in the Temporary list is poorly defined but suggests to keep well away let alone while gardening.;
2. THAMES ESTUARY ROUTINE RESURVEY 2016 - a major survey from this month to October. There is an image showing the survey areas between Orford Ness and Brightlingsea - inshore and doing a lot around the Long Sand. Bizarrely the survey area cuts short of the Spitway! Why survey north of the Spitway and not the Spitway? Perhaps I ought to do it ourselves! Anyone remind me the nav signs for survey...... (And Marmalade, they are NOT planning to re-survey that swatch of the Long Sand either! Not the most helpful for us sort of people.)
3. NORTH CARDINAL BEACON DEFECT - the Mid Cant and Tripod North Cardinal Beacons have had their top marks re instated;
4. River Yare – New Aids to Navigation - 7 new lights along the commerical berths;
5. Gorleston Roads – Sailing Regatta - 25th to 30th July - image available;
6. Port of Wells - still dredging;
7. Approaches to Kings Lynn channel chart revised as of 12.7.16. An image can be downloaded at http://www.crossingthethamesestuary.com/page9.html on the Temporary list.
That's all
