1. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth in northern part of Caister Road (north of Caister).
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One quite significant reduction of depth right in the middle of the gutway at the entrance of the lock of King George V Entrance Lock, River Thames.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth well off shore (2.8nm) east of the South Cross Sand off Great Yarmouth. Not likely to hinder leisure craft.
4. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - One reduction of depth at the southern entrance of the North Edinburgh Channel. I noticed there was a survey a couple of months back so only one reduction of depth is good news.
5. ENGLAND - East Coast - Depths. - Two reductions of depth in the River Thames: one right off the Tilbury Cruise Terminal, the second off the Esso Jetties off Pufleet. Neither likely to hinder leisure craft and not where ought to be!
6. BELGIUM - Buoy. - New north cardinal buoy temporarily installed in the middle of the Wenduine channel leading to Blankenberge.
7. BELGIUM - Depths. - Some serious depth problems right at the entrance to Nieuwpoort. Normally a 3m channel is maintained but is reported as less than 1m. I am sure we can expect some early dredging.
8. BELGIUM - Marine Reserves. Restricted areas. Mine laying practice area. - 5 different boundary changes:

1. LOWESTOFT – TRANSITS OF UNMANNED SURFACE VESSEL - FOR SURVEY OPERATIONS AT GREATER GABBARD OFFSHORE WIND FARM - hydrographic survey operations, at the Greater Gabbard Wind Farm, are scheduled to commence week commencing 13th April 2020. These will be conducted using an unmanned surface vessel (USV) “X-06” operated by ‘XOcean’. This craft will be remotely controlled by a USV ‘Pilot’. The vessel is capable of working 24/7. The USV has AIS, Navigation lights a radar reflector and are painted Yellow. The duration of the survey work is approximately 7 days and is subject to favourable weather conditions. The vessels will transit to and from the survey area from the Port of Lowestoft. XOcean will be mobilising on Sunday 12th April, the USV’s departure from Lowestoft will be subject to a favourable forecast. When transiting Harbour areas and approaches the USV’s will be escorted by a safety boat operated by Wood Marine. The Safety Boat will be monitoring VHF Ch14 during Harbour transits. The USV is expected to return back to the Port of Lowestoft week commencing 20th April.
2. KING'S LYNN CONSERVANCY BOARD - The Wash - Approaches to King’s Lynn - Collapse of Beacon - Beacon B, (52°49.’090 N 00° 21.136 E) has collapsed following collision by a vessel and is no longer operational. An area of 10 metres radius centred on the above position is foul and unmarked. Mariners are requested to give this area a wide berth until works to remove the debris and replace the beacon are completed. For further information please contact King’s Lynn Harbour Radio on VHF 14.

- A new marine reserve on the Vlakte Van De Raan.
- An update of the boundary of the Marine Reserve extending just east of Oostende harbour northerly – very small change.
- A restricted area prohibiting anchoring and fishing near Middelkerke; a small area unmarked visually.
- A revision of the boundaries for the min-laying practice area off Wenduine.
- A prohibited area just east of Zeebrugge.
