From a real chart!

Was once magenta, now a bit faded?

The underline for the 5.9 is meant to be a mooring, not a drying height.

My stupid Navionics chart shows the same area as "Rama Head" - what on earth is that: a dance?

wot? south of the hazard ?

Oh dear! Thought you'd been taught better - LOL. Still I didn't do your Day Skipper. Look again and tell me what you would have on your pilotage plan at night when you wanted to check your position - oh, your plotter/GPS has had a malfunction. It is the approaches to Port Solent BTW.

I must confess, that it only became obvious when I was needing to look in greater detail at the chart.

PS: don't start - lol

only other thing I can think of apart from my brain's going a bit looby loo is mistaking it for an east cardinal at night and going up the wrong channel...

Please can you stop being obtuse. What point are you making?

Mike

Why do you think I'm being obtuse? Look at the symbol again. oGaryo was close, Spottydog was alluding to it, but it should be obvious. I'm going to use this in tests on navigation. It is no doubt a misprint, but could have consequences.
