This looks a bit pansy to me.

I think we should be challenging them to lunch on the Middle Sunk on extraordinary springs in a bit of a blow. Now that would be extreme!

Er by the way, back home on Saturday night, planning a bit of a sail monday. Can I assume the weather is nice and warm and dry with 15 kts from the SW?

For many years we used to play cricket on the Buxey and it was good fun although the pitch would never take spin. I remember leaving Tollesbury (the opposition) in the dark at 4 am to get there. Similar matches take place on the Goodwins and in the Solent, so grabbing a few cocktails and snacks sounds pretty unintrepid to me.

As it's Bank Holiday you may assume that the weather will be perfect.

Those of us brought up on the Thames have the joys of lunch, cricket, BBQs and anything else every time there LW middayish anchoring in the Ray. Here we are waiting for the tide to go out.

Thirslet Spit would be a good venue.

Oh - 12-15knots NE and 16deg. Get your thermals out!

Not sure what Time Zone you are working in? :p Agree lunch would be extreeme - is there much sand visible middayish at HW Springs - surely we would need to do an early Breakfast or High Tea? With Spings isn't LW about 0600 / 1800 :o

Too much midday sun perhaps!

Midday sun? Midday sun? It's winter here! Ok it's 25 degrees but it does rain. In fact it tips down! And I've worked so hard today that its 6.45pm and I haven't started lunch yet! 90ft yacht in the marina here. I offered them my expenses for it but apparently even that isn't enough (which was a bit of a surprise!). 12 hrs on big plane in sky tomorrow! Not sure I can do 16 degrees as it hasn't been below 20 degrees even in the middle of the night! Regards aux toutes as we say here......
