Today, I put in an offer on this 1998 Leopard 45. Okay, so not nearly as new as TCM's new baby, but still very, very nice.

It's subject to survey and finding a berth, which is actually a really big problem in Durban. Yes, I could head for the horizon again, but I need about a year to get my financial ducks in a line.

The full spec and more pics, for those that are interested can be seen on HERE, then search for sailing boats for sale. It's the only 1998 Leopard 45 listed (by the way, I am not buying it through the Moorings, but through a local broker)

Went cold on it for two reasons. The deck space between the coachroof and the toerail is incredibly narrow, so difficult to get forward, even in calm conditions and secondly, the winch positions left me feeling vulerable when cranking the genoa in.

This leopard comes in at the same price incl VAT. The maxim was excl VAT

Yep, back on the pull again. Ex-SWMBO and I discovered we had too many differences to make a go of it.

Will update my profile once the offer is accepted and the subject to's have been met.

congratulations Paul she looks great

Have a castle from me /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

cheers Joe

Looks like a nice boat.
I hadn't realised that Agfa had stopped making film and moved into boats.

Next thing is, rather than learn to sail it and make some dangerous and damaging mistakes, is to try and get a nice long trip arranged on someone else's boat, preferably a cat as well. Then, when you're on watch alone you can press it hard and see what manouveres are a bit too risky to try on your own boat.

Now that is a commendable idea. Take it as said that I will pursue the suggestion.

Congrats!

Hope the survey goes well and that she is "all yours" v soon.

Looks to be a very comfortable place to spend loads of time! I am v envious ( as the cold wind blows and sleety hailstones landed earlier today ). /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

No. Sold her a few months back, but still haven't received the money. Am told by lawyer bloke that I should get it in early May when the transfer of the buyers house goes through. So if you want Stingo for an absolute bargain, I'm still open to offers above £32k

Fabulous - the odd doubt about the hull count /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The draft at 3ft8in sounds v interesting - eyed a sandy harbour at the w/end and miss being able to dry out. Is that feasible or do you have skegs, outdrives or summat to prevent it ?
